Banners, Banners, Banners

for some reason the last few work days have been more than overwhelming. I was hired as a 3d illustrator to make children's books. But I've spent the last week packing and shipping boxes. I'm glad my coworkers helped cuz there was no way I could have sent everything out this week. Then I came home every night drink a redbull to print shirts for a few hours. Have dinner, shower, and then sit on Dora's computer with a coffee and work late into the night on these banners. It's been really fun doing this, such an escape from the routine things I've been doing lately. And I'm pretty proud of the results. We've designed a new banner for our convention booth, and I have 2 banners that I did that are so different. When they get back from my printer's I'll be sure to take photos before shipping them out. I just want a beer and to sleep for a while...

Crashing Las Vegas

Have I mentioned my computer crashed and I can't open any of my programs like photoshop or dreamweaver? great... Last night I worked on Dora's computer designing banners and car decals for our sponsored bands and drift racer. It's always fun to see stuff come together.

Also Dora and I made a really huge decision, we're going to do a Vegas Show. We were thinking of doing a convention in the USA but didn't know exactly where we could go if we could choose to do one this year. Las Vegas sounds like it could be worth it, so more info later on...

It was a Dark and Stormy Night

This is what I wanted to do yesterday: Sleep, watch Tokyo Gore Police, sleep, watch Sweet Rain, sleep, eat, sleep. But instead Dora made me work, which is good because we had a lot of orders coming in this weekend. Let's hope it continues this way :)

Ink and Screen

Hope you're having a nice weekend? This weekend has been great, a real look into the future of working at home. Spent the morning eating homemade blueberry pancakes, then my computer decided that the System Folder was corrupted and I can't get into any of my programs like Photoshop. So now I'm on Dora's computer... brutal.

On a lighter note, this arrived yesterday....Purple and Gold ink...what will I do with it? I can't even imagine yet, but when I do think of something, it will be awesome.

Decals and Vinyls

Spent a lot of yesterday and today working with our other band Fatal Fall. They're designing a 6 foot by 7 foot vinyl banner and we're getting it printed for them. So far it's looking awesome :) I can't wait to see it in the background at their CD launch.

Also going to be doing some work for an Akumu Ink fan/ Drift racer. He's planning on decking his 2 cars in Akumu Ink decals. So I'll be helping design some stuff for that.

Metalocalypse

Have you seen this show? My cousin showed me over the weekend. Apparently it came out in 2006 and has 2 seasons already. They created this cartoon around a super famous metal band called Dethklok, basing the characters off of actual big names in metal. I think it's hilarious cuz the cartoon isn't directly laughing at metal but they are having fun with the concepts that metal lyrics are based around. If you can find it I totally suggest checking it out, below is unfortunately the best video I can find on youtube of it. I saw 4 episodes over the weekend and found it way funnier than this video. Check it out, and tell me what you think.

My Birthday :: The Conclusion

My birthday all in all was a lot of fun. Here's a picture of my desk when I arrived to my day job in the morning.











When I got home Dora and I went out for Chinese food which was followed by Coraline in 3D which is a great movie. It was gorgeously done, the colours, the story, the music, the layout, everything was perfect. Dora and I laughed so much when we saw the Scotties and were so happy when we got home to see our own Scottie.

Friday the 13th

Today is my birthday, no joke...Friday the 13th, ooh. Not much more to say on the subject... cuz tonight I'm taking Dora out for Valentine's...and paying :P

Anyways, I took a picture of my printing room. I don't think I've actually posted one from this apartment, you'll notice that it's alot more spacious than our old apartment's printing room.

Dominia

Living in the Netherlands and looking for some fresh Akumu Ink gear? Problems solved. We're hitting Leiden in a few weeks! We just closed a deal with Dominia Shop, and now I'm printing up a storm to get them their new items. So in a few weeks if you're in the neighborhood or you just want to go on a roadtrip then be sure to drop by this hot shop and pick up our items. February 2009 Design

So here they are finally! After many hours of slaving and coding the site I'm proud to announce:

The Storm - Inspired by the Netherland hardcore band Meet the Storm and their music. It's a continuation in the growth of our style and look. Even if you're alone on Valentine's Day this year, know that we'll be here with you.























Also there are two new pin packs. The 5 Pin Pack Attack I and The 5 Pin Pack Attack II. Something I've been meaning to put up since last month but never had time to do so.

No New Design Still?

My apologies. I know I promised a new design this month, but since my last website update (adding extra photos on each product page) it has been such a hassle to add new pages to the website. I'm currently teaching myself a whole new language (php) cuz I can't handle editing 150+ pages a month every time I want to make a small update. I'll try my best to post the new design this week, but at the same time I'm trying to focus on figuring out how to make updating the website not so much of a nightmare. I'll keep you updated.
